Overview
As a Cyber Security Assurance Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in a major cyber transformation program within a regulated environment, focusing on enhancing security assurance for critical Operational Technology (OT) and cloud platforms. Collaborating closely with architects, engineering teams, risk owners, and senior stakeholders, you will influence security strategies, assess risks, and ensure alignment with industry best practices while driving assurance activities across vital business systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead cyber assurance activities across complex OT and cloud environments.
- Assess security controls against NCSC CAF, NIST, and ISO standards.
- Conduct and support internal and external audits.
- Provide expert guidance on cyber risk, governance, and compliance.
- Challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels to drive security improvements.
- Support the evolution of the organisation's cyber assurance capability.
Requirements
- Strong experience working with the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
- Technical cloud security expertise across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience operating within OT or critical infrastructure environments.
- Proven track record of leading audits from planning through to remediation.
- Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, ISO 27005, and/or NIST.
- Eligibility for SC Clearance is required.
