Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Senior Python Engineer with experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join a high-performing engineering team for an initial 6-month contract. In this role, you will work collaboratively to design and develop scalable backend services, contributing to impactful solutions in a cloud-native environment. You will engage with architects and product teams, ensuring high quality through engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Python applications and microservices.
- Build and deploy cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality software.
- Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
- Contribute to the design of scalable, resilient, and secure systems.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Python.
- Proven expertise working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience building APIs and distributed backend systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
