Overview
The Contract Service Design & Transition Manager will play a crucial role in an enterprise-level Digital IT function, overseeing the design and transition of services across a diverse portfolio of over 80 concurrent projects. Collaborating with various stakeholders, they will ensure that new and changed services are effectively governed and smoothly integrated into operational environments. This position is offered as a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence two days a month, and presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transition from ITIL v3 to ITIL v4 frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design and govern new services to ensure operational readiness.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of services into live operational environments.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams and operational support to embed service assurance.
- Manage risk and readiness assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define and deliver process workflows, SLAs, and OLAs.
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement across technical and business teams.
- Oversee RAID logs and governance frameworks for multiple projects.
- Support the organization’s shift from ITIL v3 to ITIL v4.
Requirements
- Strong background in IT Service Management (ITIL v3 essential, ITIL v4 awareness desirable).
- Proven experience in Service Design and Service Transition within enterprise-level IT projects.
- Ability to anticipate and manage risks and issues early in project lifecycles.
- Experience in defining and delivering process workflows and support models.
- Strong understanding of operational readiness and service assurance practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across various teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- Experience in maintaining governance frameworks and managing RAID logs.
