Overview
We are seeking a D365 F&O Functional Consultant to lead the Finance workstream in a 6-month contract position. The successful candidate will work closely with finance stakeholders to address functional issues, optimize business processes, and ensure effective project delivery. This role requires a hands-on approach to provide functional expertise and will involve collaboration across various technical and business teams while managing stakeholder expectations and leading workstream activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level functional expertise across the existing D365 F&O solution, focusing on Finance.
- Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to understand and resolve functional issues and challenges.
- Analyze current functionality to determine suitable solutions for business needs.
- Support the resolution of complex functional issues and coordinate with technical teams as needed.
- Manage workstream plans, milestones, and risks, ensuring all activities remain on track.
- Facilitate design discussions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings to drive project outcomes.
- Document functional decisions, changes, and solutions clearly for stakeholder reference.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and escalate issues to maintain project momentum.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Strong functional expertise in D365 Finance, preferably from multiple complex projects.
- Significant experience with live/in-flight D365 F&O implementations, focusing on problem-solving.
- Proven track record of resolving complex functional issues and defects effectively.
- Familiarity with testing, deployment, and go-live activities in ERP contexts.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly with senior Finance professionals.
- Demonstrated experience acting as a Functional or Workstream Lead in ERP programs.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
