Overview
The Software Engineer will work on-site with a healthcare software company to develop a practice management and electronic health record platform used by clinicians. Collaborating closely with the existing engineering team, the contractor will utilize a modern TypeScript stack, focusing on React for the front end and Express for the back end. The role includes interpreting specifications written in French and delivering hands-on software solutions that adhere to French healthcare standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Implement backend services using Express and Node.js.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in in-person meetings and workshops as required by the client.
- Interpret French specifications to ensure compliance with Ségur certification.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to code reviews and maintain best practices in coding standards.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Experience with React for front-end development.
- Familiarity with Express and Node.js for backend services.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications in French.
- Experience with Ségur or French medical/EHR systems is preferred.
- Previous experience in a contract role within healthcare software development is advantageous.
