Overview
We are seeking a Contract Systems Engineer to support a rail technology organization with a focus on delivering major overhead line monitoring tenders. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid work arrangements and involves collaborating on technical solutions, bid strategies, and producing compelling proposals for UK rail infrastructure projects over an initial six-month period.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of overhead line monitoring tenders by defining technical solutions.
- Develop bid strategies to enhance competitiveness in proposals.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation for rail infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical requirements.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of proposal activities.
- Utilize expertise in systems engineering to support complex engineering projects.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Systems Engineer in a complex engineering environment.
- Proven ability to assist with technical bids, tenders, or proposals.
- Strong understanding of electronics, software, or integrated systems.
- Experience in producing comprehensive technical documentation.
- Familiarity with the rail industry, particularly in areas like infrastructure monitoring, signalling, or telecoms.
- Willingness to operate through a Personal Service Company (PSC) due to OUTSIDE IR35 determination.
