Overview
In this role as a Tech Lead, you will spearhead the engineering efforts on a high-volume online marketplace undergoing a significant technological transformation. Collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary teams, you will set the technical direction for the shift to a service-based architecture while ensuring timely project delivery. Your expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node will be essential in driving this project forward and achieving strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction for a major technology transformation project.
- Guide the transition to a service-based architecture using TypeScript and Node.
- Ensure timely delivery of platform developments while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective project execution.
- Advocate for technical changes and engage stakeholders in decision-making processes.
- Oversee and implement infrastructure as code practices using tools like Terraform or CDK.
- Drive initiatives focused on integrating AI workflows into the platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience in principal-level engineering across cloud, architecture, data, and APIs.
- Strong track record in building service-based platforms in AWS, particularly with infrastructure as code.
- Experience with decomposing monolith applications, preferably using the strangler pattern.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with familiarity in PHP and Laravel.
- Ability to integrate AI-driven features within engineering practices.
- Demonstrated capability to lead in fast-paced, complex environments.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
