Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical SEO Lead for a 6-month contract opportunity, focusing on establishing and enhancing search strategies for a B2B business. In this role, the contractor will own the SEO and AEO roadmap, working collaboratively with development and content teams to integrate best practices and drive innovation in AI-driven search optimization.
Responsibilities
- Own the search strategy for traditional organic search and AI-driven discovery.
- Define and set quarterly SEO and AEO goals and KPIs.
- Conduct technical audits focusing on crawlability, indexing, and site performance.
- Implement schema, structured data, and conversational formats to enhance AEO visibility.
- Work closely with developers to execute SEO recommendations and improvements.
- Monitor content performance in AI-generated answers and improve content workflows.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B SEO, with SaaS experience highly desirable.
- Extensive technical SEO background, including audits and site performance evaluation.
- Strong understanding of AEO and its relationship with generative AI engines.
- Experience implementing schema and structured data for SEO enhancement.
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders autonomously.
- Proficiency in collaborating with technical teams to drive SEO initiatives.
