Overview
The 3rd Line Storage and PKI Engineer will support a high-profile user community in a secure environment, utilizing their expertise in storage solutions and public key infrastructure (PKI). The role requires responding to escalations from 2nd line support, maintaining the PKI solution, and collaborating with the Operations Lead while adhering to change management protocols. Working on-site five days a week, this position involves periodic travel to other customer sites and operates on a rotating shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Respond to escalations from 2nd line support and complete daily system checks.
- Maintain and support the PKI solution, ensuring operational effectiveness.
- Attend PKI activities, requiring travel to various customer sites.
- Support backup and storage solutions, providing updates to the Operations Lead.
- Conduct planned activities following Change Management processes.
- Monitor systems using Event Management tools and respond to incidents.
- Triaging incidents and escalating to the Service Management team as needed.
- Perform readiness assessments for new releases from the Engineering team.
Requirements
- UK Sole National with active DV Clearance.
- Experience with storage solutions, such as Dell Avamar and Data Domain.
- Familiarity with public key technologies, including Microsoft or Thales.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure storage and VMware cloud technologies.
- Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern and travel to other customer sites.
- Familiarity with ITSM tooling and processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of server administration, particularly Microsoft Windows Server.
- Experience with Event Management tools like SCOM is preferred.
