Overview

The role of Contract Administrator involves providing essential contract administration support for service and subcontract arrangements within the Oil & Gas E&P sector. Working closely with engineers, project teams, and third-party contractors, the contractor will be responsible for managing the contract lifecycle in an office-based setting, with potential flexibility to a hybrid work model in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts and subcontracts from award through to close-out.
  • Prepare, review, and process contract documentation and contractor submissions.
  • Support the contract award process, including necessary documentation and internal approvals.
  • Administer variations and changes, tracking their schedule and risk impacts.
  • Monitor contract correspondence and proactively flag potential claims or delivery issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files and databases.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Insurance departments to ensure compliance with contracting guidelines.
  • Assist project and engineering teams in understanding the contractual implications of their work.

Requirements

  • Around 5 years of contracts administration or engineering experience in Oil & Gas, preferably with an E&P operator or Tier 1 service company.
  • Hands-on experience in contract and subcontract administration, including variations and change control.
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to documentation and record keeping.
  • Ability to work in an office environment five days per week initially.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across various departments.
  • Well-organized with a capability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.
