Overview
The AI Engineer & Trainer will play a critical role within the AI Adoption team of a large, regulated financial services organization. This position requires a hands-on approach to assist users across varying levels of AI expertise, from business users to developers, with practical support in implementing AI tools and strategies. The contractor will also be responsible for developing measurement tools for AI usage and costs while coordinating with various teams to enhance governance and usability of AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for AI helpdesk queries, assisting users of all skill levels.
- Design, build, and test new AI use cases in collaboration with business champions.
- Establish and manage a usage/cost measurement tool for AI adoption within the organization.
- Maintain a documented log of use cases to contribute to a best-practice repository.
- Transform recurring issues into reusable templates and processes.
- Collaborate with the AI Projects team and IT Ops to ensure cohesive efforts and identify larger opportunities.
- Provide insights on new ChatGPT and Claude features to an internal AI forum based on real user experiences.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with OpenAI and Anthropic technologies, with the ability to construct solutions.
- Familiarity with Excel, SQL, and Databricks, with a readiness to quickly improve any skill gaps.
- Experience in supporting or training diverse audiences, from beginners to engineers.
- Practical experience with AI usage and cost tracking tools, or the ability to learn quickly.
- Understanding of working within a regulated environment with knowledge of data handling and compliance.
- Demonstrated patience and a solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
