Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to contribute to a complex project focused on developing advanced AI solutions. The contractor will collaborate with a team to deliver innovative technologies, leveraging expertise in Databricks, Machine Learning, and modern Agentic AI. This role offers an immediate start and requires occasional onsite presence in Manchester, making it ideal for professionals who thrive in a hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI solutions using Databricks and MLflow.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliverables.
- Take AI/ML solutions from development through to production, ensuring quality and performance.
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges in AI systems.
- Engage with modern AI/ML technologies and cloud-based data platforms to enhance project outcomes.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in delivering complex AI and Machine Learning solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Proven experience with MLflow for managing machine learning workflows.
- Solid understanding and practical experience of Agentic AI / AI Agents.
- Strong software engineering skills with a focus on scalable systems.
- Ability to take AI/ML solutions from development into production environments.
