Overview
This part-time AI Readiness Consultant role offers a mostly remote working environment with occasional travel to the Reading/Slough area. The consultant will support an enterprise AI knowledge program by assessing and optimizing the existing SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environment, collaborating closely with an AI Architect and Delivery Lead to establish a robust knowledge architecture and provide implementation guidance.
Responsibilities
- Assess the current SharePoint estate and information architecture to identify gaps and improvement priorities.
- Review permissions and governance to identify security risks and oversharing issues.
- Design the target SharePoint architecture, including hubs, sites, and enterprise taxonomy.
- Define governance standards for content management and lifecycle processes.
- Produce architecture documentation and a prioritized implementation roadmap.
- Provide technical guidance to implementation teams and validate the governance model during the pilot phase.
- Lead stakeholder workshops and facilitate knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Requirements
- Experience with AI readiness or enterprise knowledge transformation programs.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications preferred.
- Extensive experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, focusing on architecture and solution design.
- Strong background in information architecture, metadata, and taxonomy management.
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft Search and its relationship with content quality and permissions.
- Knowledge of Copilot Studio and enterprise knowledge sources.
- Experience with SharePoint security, permissions, and information governance.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and documentation, with the ability to collaborate with technical teams and business owners.
