Overview
The Application Support Engineer will play a crucial role in the Energy & Commodities trading space, focusing on providing technical support for ETRM systems. This position involves engaging directly with leading energy trading organizations, offering opportunities to work with traders and various operational teams to enhance their ETRM platform experience. The role promises to deepen the contractor's understanding of the energy deal lifecycle, as well as the technology that supports it.
Responsibilities
- Provide application support for ETRM systems used by energy trading organizations.
- Collaborate with traders and operational teams to understand and troubleshoot application issues.
- Implement solutions to enhance the user experience of the ETRM platform.
- Travel onsite to major energy trading houses to deliver support and gather requirements.
- Gain insight into the full Energy & Commodities deal lifecycle, including trade capture and risk management.
- Assist in onboarding new products and support ETRM implementations.
Requirements
- Experience in application support, specifically within the ETRM domain.
- Familiarity with energy trading and commodities markets.
- Proficiency in ETRM systems such as Openlink, Endur, Allegro, Symphony, or Orchestrade.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel and engage with clients onsite when required.
