Overview
We are seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence Consultant to join a prominent Microsoft-focused Data & AI consultancy on a contract basis. In this senior role, you will engage with enterprise clients to identify valuable AI opportunities, design innovative solutions, and drive technical delivery. You will blend strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise, working in both consultancy and implementation capacities to transform AI initiatives from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise AI and Generative AI solutions.
- Build and deploy AI agents, RAG applications, and LLM-powered solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Work directly with clients to identify, assess, and prioritize commercially viable AI use cases.
- Facilitate technical discovery sessions, AI workshops, and strategic discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on client requirements, advising when traditional automation may be more appropriate.
- Support pre-sales activities, including technical scoping, solution design, and proposal development.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to provide technical direction and support solution delivery.
- Assist clients in transitioning AI initiatives from proof-of-concept to production readiness.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Principal AI Consultant, AI Solutions Architect, or Lead AI Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience in designing and delivering production-grade Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
- Deep understanding of the Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem, including key services like Azure OpenAI.
- Proficiency in Python development with experience in building AI-powered applications and APIs.
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles and contemporary cloud data platforms.
- Demonstrated experience leading client workshops and technical discovery sessions.
- Ability to articulate complex AI concepts into clear business outcomes and challenge clients appropriately.
- Strong communication skills with a track record of engaging senior business and technical stakeholders.
