Overview
This role is designed for AWS Engineers with a solid background in software engineering, engaging in a significant cloud migration and disaster recovery project involving approximately 60 critical services. The successful candidate will build and automate AWS solutions while working collaboratively with a team on production-quality coding and infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
- Build and automate solutions within AWS.
- Develop production-quality code, scripts, and automation.
- Support cloud migration and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Work with ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, and AWS security services.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions.
- Participate in code reviews and apply clean code, testing, and SDLC best practices.
- Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure and deployment issues.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering/development background.
- Production coding experience in C#, Python, Node.js, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with AWS.
- Experience with AWS automation and infrastructure built through code.
- Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably with Terraform.
- CI/CD experience.
- Strong understanding of testing, clean code, code reviews, and maintainability.
- Desirable: Experience in cloud migration/modernization and disaster recovery/resilience.
