Overview
This Senior Data Engineer role involves collaborating within a team to utilize modern agile technical practices in delivering robust data solutions for clients. The successful candidate will work hybrid, spending two days a week onsite, and engage closely with clients to assess their data processing needs, while also improving data capabilities through mentoring and advocacy for agile practices.
Responsibilities
- Automate data infrastructure and deployments.
- Deliver software using pair programming, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Advocate for agile practices within client organizations and mentor team members.
- Enhance the overall data capabilities of both the team and the client.
Requirements
- Significant experience with data pipelines, platforms, and large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in at least one major Cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong background in Python or SQL.
- Experience applying software engineering best practices to data pipelines.
- Proven ability to mentor team members and engage in peer reviews.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in data modeling based on usage.
