Overview
We are seeking a Backend Engineer proficient in Kotlin to join an innovative healthtech start-up focused on transforming the healthcare system through advanced technology. The contractor will collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and integrate backend systems that will enhance the efficiency of healthcare providers. This role is remote, allowing for flexibility while contributing to a significant project aimed at reducing administrative burdens on medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services and systems using Kotlin.
- Integrate APIs with a focus on REST or GraphQL.
- Design and implement architecture for scalable applications.
- Collaborate with the team on third-party platform integrations.
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
- Contribute to troubleshooting and debugging efforts.
- Document development processes and architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in backend development using Kotlin.
- Strong knowledge of Coroutines for asynchronous programming.
- Experience with REST and GraphQL API integration.
- Demonstrated ability in designing software architecture.
- Familiarity with integrating third-party services and platforms.
- Willingness to travel to the UK or Germany if required.
- Ability to start immediately and work in a contract capacity.
