Overview
The Contract Data Engineer / BI Consultant will collaborate closely with a media agency team to enhance data infrastructure and develop dashboards for reporting purposes. This role focuses on leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality data visualizations and ensuring data governance best practices. The position is temporary, supporting the team until a permanent hire is made in December 2026, and requires an immediate or short-notice start, with the role based in the office four days a week.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance dashboards and data visualization solutions for internal and client reporting.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Create and optimize Looker dashboards and reporting environments.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and adherence to data governance best practices.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver reporting solutions at pace.
- Support the team with ongoing data engineering and business intelligence requirements.
Requirements
- Strong experience in building dashboards and delivering data visualization solutions within a media agency setting.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Advanced proficiency in Looker, including dashboard development and reporting.
- Good understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and quickly add value in a fast-paced team.
- Availability for an immediate or short-notice start.
