Overview
We are looking for a skilled BIM Technician to contribute to the HS2 project, a major infrastructure initiative in the UK. The successful candidate will produce and manage BIM models and technical drawings, collaborating with various teams in a hybrid work environment. This role offers the chance to be part of a high-impact project within a dynamic engineering setting.
Responsibilities
- Produce and develop coordinated 3D BIM models for mechanical and electrical building services.
- Create detailed technical drawings and layouts using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Support project teams with BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
- Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure accurate model delivery.
- Ensure BIM deliverables meet project specifications, client standards, and HS2 requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings.
- Maintain accurate model documentation and drawing registers.
- Assist with model updates throughout project lifecycle stages.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a BIM Technician within M&E Building Services.
- Strong proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Experience on large-scale construction, rail, infrastructure, or commercial projects.
- Understanding of BIM workflows, standards, and coordination processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- HNC / HND in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction.
