Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Business Analyst specializing in finance to drive the redevelopment of a vital business platform. This role requires collaboration with finance and engineering teams to analyze and enhance finance and billing processes, leveraging AI to optimize productivity and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FinTech or technology-oriented finance, with hands-on experience in modern finance tools and software delivery frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions and workshops with finance and business stakeholders.
- Understand and analyze existing finance, accounting, and billing processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Shape and define how finance and billing processes should function within a new platform.
- Translate complex business rules into clear requirements for the engineering team.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams, maintaining ownership of the product backlog.
- Analyze processes related to orders, billing, invoicing, and credit calculations.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of accountancy, finance, and billing processes.
- Experience in a FinTech or technology-led finance environment.
- Hands-on experience with modern finance tools such as Stripe and bank integrations.
- Proven ability to shape and modernize finance processes rather than just document them.
- Actively uses AI to enhance personal productivity and output quality.
- Experience working with software engineers to deliver bespoke software solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders confidently.
