Overview
The Business Central Developer will focus on the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP platform. Working closely with the ERP Technical Lead, the contractor will deliver reliable Business Central extensions and integrations while supporting ongoing business processes across various operational areas. This role combines project development with business-as-usual support and is aimed at improving existing systems and processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain AL extensions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Deliver new functionalities and enhancements based on business and project requirements.
- Translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Support business processes across finance, operations, sales, purchasing, and reporting.
- Build and maintain integrations between Business Central and external platforms.
- Collaborate with the ERP Technical Lead on solution design and implementation.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
- Investigate and resolve production issues affecting Business Central customisations and integrations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions.
- Strong knowledge of AL development, extensions, and customisations.
- Experience in building integrations using APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and controlled software releases.
- Ability to work independently and manage end-to-end delivery.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience with cross-functional teams.
