Overview
We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team on a full-time contract basis for an initial six-month period. This remote position involves collaborating with the Software Engineering Lead for Battery Systems and requires occasional travel to Gateshead every six weeks. The successful candidate will play a key role in the High Voltage Battery project, focusing on delivering high-quality software assurance processes in electrification systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Test Suite including Static Analysis, Dynamic Analysis, Fuzz Testing, and SBOM creation and Vulnerability analysis.
- Coordinate with suppliers of the software tools used in the SQA Test Suite.
- Demonstrate the functionality of the SQA Test Suite on internal projects.
- Develop the infrastructure needed to automate the operation of the SQA Test Suite.
- Provide comprehensive documentation on design, creation, operation, and future options for the SQA Test Suite.
- Collaborate with design engineers and cross-functional departments to ensure program delivery.
- Adhere to company and industry quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in engineering roles.
- Experience using Mathworks PolySpace tools, especially PolySpace Bug Finder and PolySpace Test.
- Proficiency in Embedded C development and setting up Continuous Integration systems.
- Familiarity with Functional Safety standards (e.g., IEC61508, ISO26262, EN50128).
- Ability to understand technical requirements and their impact on design.
- Experience working collaboratively with suppliers and other departments.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
