Overview
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing the High Voltage Battery project for a leading global manufacturer specializing in electrification systems. This six-month contract, primarily remote with occasional travel to Gateshead, will involve developing and implementing a comprehensive Software Quality Assurance Test Suite. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry quality standards and effectively support software tool integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Test Suite including static and dynamic analysis, fuzz testing, and SBOM creation.
- Coordinate with suppliers of the software tools used in the SQA Test Suite.
- Demonstrate the functionality of the SQA Test Suite on internal projects.
- Create infrastructure to automate the operation of the SQA Test Suite.
- Document the design, operation, and future options of the SQA Test Suite.
- Collaborate with design engineers and other departments to deliver programs meeting quality standards.
- Comply with company and industry quality standards.
Requirements
- Experience using Mathworks PolySpace tools, specifically PolySpace Bug Finder and PolySpace Test.
- Proficiency in Embedded C development with at least 4 years in engineering roles.
- Experience in setting up and developing Continuous Integration systems.
- Familiarity with Functional Safety standards such as IEC61508 or ISO26262.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and their impact on design.
- Experience working with suppliers and collaborating across departments.
