Overview
The Civil/Construction Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily execution of civil engineering works on-site, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, technical specifications, and project timelines. Working closely with subcontractors and the labor force, the supervisor will be responsible for executing various civil works, from bulk earthworks to temporary infrastructure. This role offers an immediate start on a long-term contract basis, providing continuity in a dynamic project environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise daily on-site civil engineering activities.
- Ensure compliance with UK safety regulations and technical design specifications.
- Coordinate temporary works and logistics for civil projects.
- Manage subcontractors and labor resources effectively.
- Implement quality assurance processes throughout project execution.
- Track project progress and maintain necessary administrative documentation.
- Facilitate technical coordination and structural appraisals as required.
- Evaluate ongoing works and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
Requirements
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent trade experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in supervising heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Proven background in executing bulk earthworks and complex industrial concrete packages.
- Experience with large-scale Tier-1 projects or energy/utilities builds.
- Strong technical knowledge in structural engineering and project management.
- Ability to demonstrate professional competency in coordinating civil engineering works.
