Overview
The Quality Inspections Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality standards are met on a solar farm construction site. They will collaborate with project teams to apply their expertise in quality inspections, focusing on material traceability, adherence to specifications, and defect reporting. This position is ideal for professionals with relevant qualifications and experience in large-scale solar PV construction, looking to make an impact in a global organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of ramming, structures, and module mounting systems.
- Verify adherence to supplier specifications regarding torque marks, mounting sequences, and cable management.
- Ensure proper identification, tracking, and verification of all materials and components on site.
- Assist in compiling the 'Technical Memory' and managing checklists and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Identify and report any technical issues to the QA/QC Manager and Project Manager to prevent rework.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant HNC/HND or higher qualification.
- Proven recent experience in large-scale solar PV construction in a quality-related role.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Possess a methodical mindset for site record management and material tracking.
- Fluency in English; additional skills in Spanish or German are a plus.
- Hold valid UK site access certifications (e.g., CSCS or equivalent).
