Overview
We are seeking a Site Engineer to contribute to a major long-term water infrastructure programme with a leading main contractor. The successful candidate will be engaged in the early stages of the project, focusing on technical quality assurance, site setup, and engineering control. This role requires collaboration with the primary project delivery team to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Set out and execute accurate engineering controls for enabling works, earthworks, access roads, and site infrastructure.
- Manage technical quality assurance through inspection and testing plans (ITPs), as-built surveys, and photographic documentation.
- Supervise subcontractor activities, track progress against schedules, and maintain comprehensive site records.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards, adhering to risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Compile and maintain precise engineering data and documentation for project handover and delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering projects, specifically in heavy earthworks or water infrastructure.
- Hands-on proficiency with modern robotic total stations and GPS survey equipment.
- Educational qualifications: Degree, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Possess a valid CSCS card and either SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
- Must have a full UK driving license and be commutable to the Oxford/Abingdon area.
