Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions in a remote capacity, with occasional site visits to London. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders across engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver enterprise-level technology solutions, leveraging expertise in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure and a strong background in solutions architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of complex cloud and technology solutions.
- Develop high-level and detailed architecture designs aligned to business and technical requirements.
- Define cloud strategies, architectures and technology roadmaps across AWS and/or Azure.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, and data teams to ensure solutions are robust and scalable.
- Evaluate existing platforms and identify opportunities for cloud migration and optimization.
- Ensure solutions meet security, resilience, scalability, performance, and compliance standards.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the entire solution lifecycle.
- Produce architecture documentation, technical standards, and design artifacts.
Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in Cloud or Technology roles, with hands-on expertise in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- 5+ years' experience in Technical or Solutions Architecture.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and application architecture.
- Experience in complex technology environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in producing high-level designs (HLD), low-level designs (LLD), and technical documentation.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Desirable: Experience in Government or Public Sector and cloud migration programs, along with relevant architecture certifications.
