Overview
We are seeking an experienced D365 Finance Functional Consultant for a contract role that involves supporting a significant Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance implementation for a UK business. The consultant will work closely with senior Finance stakeholders, internal SMEs, and the implementation partner to ensure effective translation of business requirements into the D365 solution while maintaining strong project ownership. This hands-on position involves both independent operation and collaboration within a client-side delivery team, aiming to enhance internal capabilities and facilitate a successful go-live.
Responsibilities
- Act as the client-side functional SME for Dynamics 365 Finance.
- Work with Finance stakeholders to understand existing processes, requirements, and future-state objectives.
- Translate business requirements into effective D365 Finance solutions.
- Collaborate with the implementation partner throughout design and delivery.
- Review and constructively challenge proposed solutions where appropriate.
- Support process design, configuration decisions, and solution validation.
- Assist in data migration, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation activities.
- Support functional testing, UAT, and defect resolution.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance / D365 F&O.
- Experience delivering multiple end-to-end D365 Finance implementations.
- Strong knowledge across core Finance functionality including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting.
- Experience gathering and translating Finance requirements into D365 solutions.
- Good understanding of Finance processes and controls.
- Experience supporting data migration and testing/UAT.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience with senior Finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously as the primary D365 Finance functional specialist within a client-side team.
