Overview
The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role within the Transformation function of a leading Specialty Insurer, focusing on the delivery of multiple concurrent change initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Transformation, this role emphasizes effective project management and stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams. The contractor will contribute to strategic business initiatives, operational improvements, and the integration of emerging technologies, including AI.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across the transformation portfolio.
- Work closely with the Head of Transformation to drive delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, RAID logs and governance reporting.
- Coordinate business and technical stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Lead project governance, steering committees and executive reporting.
- Identify risks, dependencies and issues across multiple workstreams.
- Support organisational change activities and adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Contribute to the delivery of AI-focused initiatives, helping to embed emerging technologies within business operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering projects within the Specialty Insurance or London Market insurance sector.
- Strong track record managing multiple projects concurrently within complex transformation environments.
- Experience delivering both business and technology change initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior executives and business leaders.
- Strong understanding of project governance, reporting and delivery methodologies.
- Experience working within insurer, MGA, broker or Lloyd's market environments.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation or data-driven transformation projects would be highly advantageous.
