Overview
The Senior Project Engineer will lead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring high standards in safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, this role involves developing execution strategies, maintaining project controls, and fostering client relationships. Responsibilities
- Develop project execution strategies, schedules, and budgets.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate project activities.
- Maintain project controls, monitoring progress against scope, cost, and programme.
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Support commercial management, change control, and reporting activities.
- Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant legislation.
Requirements
- Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects within the process industries, such as chemical or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate across all project functions.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and project control methodologies.
- Previous experience in the UK onshore process sector as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer.
- Professional membership or working towards chartership is desirable.
