Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a major transformation programme in the engineering, infrastructure, and facilities management sector. This hands-on role emphasizes data quality and governance, requiring effective stakeholder management and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of approximately 22 professionals and will report directly to the Data Lead, with the opportunity to lead governance meetings in their absence.
Responsibilities
- Collect, cleanse, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Converge and reconcile datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain documentation, data artifacts, and business rules.
- Identify data trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
- Translate complex data findings into clear information for stakeholders.
- Monitor data quality and drive improvements in accuracy.
- Support data governance processes and reporting requirements.
- Work closely with various technical teams, including Developers and Project Managers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence specialist, or in similar data-focused roles.
- Strong experience in gathering, validating, and reconciling data from multiple sources.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with the wider Microsoft suite.
- Experience in data governance and ensuring data quality.
- Strong documentation and process-mapping capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to confidently lead or participate in client-facing meetings.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
