Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a significant operational systems replacement programme within a hybrid working arrangement. The contractor will play a critical role in navigating complex technology transformation processes, working alongside various teams to define and document requirements for a new enterprise SaaS platform that harmonises operations across legacy systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis across a major core systems replacement programme, from discovery to implementation.
- Map and document complex end-to-end operational processes across two different legacy platforms.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate processes, balancing operational differences for the future solution.
- Elicit, prioritize, and document functional and non-functional requirements for a SaaS solution.
- Create a consolidated requirements set to inform market engagement and vendor selection activities.
- Collaborate with the Solution Architect to ensure alignment of business requirements with data flows and architecture.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to resolve conflicting requirements and drive key decisions.
- Maintain traceability from requirements through vendor responses and solution implementation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst on complex system replacement or SaaS implementation projects.
- Strong background in defining requirements for vendor selection or RFP processes.
- Experience in complex, process-driven environments, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
- Excellent process mapping, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to understand technical dependencies and collaborate with architects and delivery teams.
- Confident in challenging established processes to determine essential requirements.
- Strong written communication skills with attention to detail in creating documentation.
