Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join a fintech company that is undergoing a significant reporting transformation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in migrating data from a legacy reporting platform to a modern Azure/Microsoft Fabric environment, collaborating closely with various teams to ensure a smooth transition and improved data management processes.
Responsibilities
- Migrate reporting procedures from legacy systems to a new foundation data platform.
- Manage schema mapping, transformations, and reporting validation.
- Build and improve ETL pipelines across multiple data sources.
- Design Fact and Dimension models using Kimball principles.
- Introduce GitHub version control and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure data integrity and quality during the migration process.
Requirements
- Strong background in SQL and Data Engineering.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, schema mapping, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric.
- Ability to work independently in fast-moving environments.
- Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
