Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data & AI Programme Director to oversee a major transformation initiative within the insurance sector. The contractor will lead strategy and execution across various Data & AI workstreams, working closely with stakeholders and managing delivery teams, ensuring successful implementation of complex programmes. This role is critical in driving substantial change and innovation within the industry while maintaining strong governance and commercial management.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and execution for Data & AI transformation programmes.
- Manage multiple workstreams and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, particularly with C-suite executives.
- Oversee programme governance and commercial management processes.
- Coordinate with third-party delivery partners, including consultancies and SIs.
- Ensure alignment of project objectives with broader organisational goals.
- Drive innovative solutions and best practices in the insurance sector.
- Deliver complex transformation programmes from inception to completion.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading large-scale Data & AI transformation initiatives.
- Background in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Proven track record managing sizeable budgets and multiple delivery teams.
- Strong capabilities in stakeholder management, particularly at the executive level.
- Experience collaborating with external partners, including consultancy firms.
- Expertise in programme governance and commercial management.
- Ability to navigate and drive complex transformations effectively.
- Immediate availability preferred, but candidates who can start within a month will be considered.
