Data Architect

Overview

The Data Architect will take a hands-on approach to improve data integration within maritime operations by collaborating closely with intelligence staff and mission planners. This role focuses on identifying and resolving key data frictions in real-time mission contexts, transforming operational needs into robust data models and standards while enabling quicker decision-making through short-term changes and potential automation opportunities. Candidates must possess or have previously held high-level security clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify data frictions in operational missions.
  • Develop usable data models and integration patterns for maritime digital transformation.
  • Implement short-term data solutions that enhance decision-making speed and confidence.
  • Map current systems and information flows to improve data sharing and trust.
  • Establish clear data ownership and standards informed by technical architecture.
  • Identify automation and AI opportunities to streamline operations.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on data needs and operational goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, integration patterns, and operational processes.
  • Experience working in high-stakes environments with security clearance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with data governance and standards best practices.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and AI applications in data management.
