Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a high-profile transformation project focused on automating data and back-office processes within a leading insurer in the London Market. The contractor will play a key role in designing and building scalable solutions while collaborating closely with business stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency amidst significant growth.
Responsibilities
- Build and automate data processes for Consortium and Facility operations.
- Automate bordereaux production, fee calculations, and other insurance-related data processes.
- Work with data stored in SQL Server to ensure optimal performance.
- Translate existing business process flows into scalable technical solutions.
- Implement appropriate controls and auditing mechanisms in automated processes.
- Collaborate with insurance and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop best-in-class, scalable processes to support business growth.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, SQL Server, and T-SQL.
- Previous experience in Lloyd’s or London Market insurance is essential.
- Proven track record of automating manual business and data processes.
- Strong understanding of data flows and ETL processes.
- Experience with insurance-related data such as Consortium, Facility, bordereaux, Delegated Authority, or Coverholder data is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Python, and/or PowerShell is beneficial.
