Overview
The Data Privacy Specialist plays a crucial role in a global data privacy transformation programme, focusing on strengthening the organization’s privacy framework. They will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance privacy awareness and governance while providing guidance on privacy-related activities. In this fully remote contract position, the specialist will ensure compliance with data protection regulations and assist in embedding effective privacy policies and processes throughout the business.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a global data privacy transformation programme.
- Review and improve data privacy records and processes.
- Develop and implement privacy policies, procedures, and controls.
- Provide privacy guidance for business change and technology activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance privacy awareness and operations.
- Identify and address privacy-related risks and gaps.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in Data Privacy/Data Protection with hands-on expertise.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR and applicable privacy requirements.
- Proven experience with ROPA, data mapping, and DPIAs.
- Experience within large, complex organizations and navigating multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to drive privacy improvements and facilitate workshops.
