Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Product Manager to steer the development and enhancement of essential data products for a health-focused government agency. In this remote role, you will collaborate with diverse teams, including data architects, engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders, to transform complex data into valuable insights and services, ensuring that all activities align with operational and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Own the data product lifecycle from discovery through delivery and continuous improvement.
- Define product roadmaps, manage backlogs, and prioritize requirements across multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with technical teams on data ingestion, pipelines, quality, governance, lineage, and access controls.
- Utilize user research, feedback, and performance metrics to inform product decisions and demonstrate outcomes.
- Build and maintain trusted stakeholder relationships, aligning delivery with user needs and business value.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and compliance with Government Digital Service (GDS) product management standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager or Data Product Manager, with a focus on complex data products.
- Strong technical knowledge of data management, ingestion, pipelines, and data analysis.
- Experience with Agile delivery methods, product roadmaps, and stakeholder management.
- Practical understanding of data governance, quality, ownership, and controls in regulated environments.
- Experience with digital service delivery or transformation in the UK government or public sector.
- Familiarity with health-sector organizations and GDS standards is a plus.
