Overview
We are seeking a skilled Delivery Lead / Project Manager to oversee an Agile Delivery and Jira Lead role within a cyber security compliance programme. The contractor will work remotely, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective delivery of project milestones and manage the team's workflow and ceremonies. The primary focus will be on driving actions to completion through efficient management of tasks and communications within the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Manage and prioritize the team's Jira board and ensure backlog items are clearly defined and owned.
- Support the team in removing blockers and dependencies to facilitate smooth delivery.
- Utilize Confluence for documentation and communication, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Chase stalled work items and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion.
- Engage constructively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive project momentum.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Delivery Lead or Project Manager in Agile environments.
- Strong practical experience with Jira and Confluence for task management and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to run Agile ceremonies and effectively manage backlogs.
- Experience in delivering cyber security, regulatory, or compliance projects is preferred.
- A proactive and organized approach to project management with the ability to navigate without excessive bureaucracy.
- Familiarity with software development or engineering environments is a strong advantage.
