Overview
We are seeking four experienced DevOps/Platform Engineers to contribute to a significant Defence programme on a contract basis. Working predominantly remotely, you will be part of a platform-focused engineering team that builds, deploys, and supports secure cloud and containerised environments, ideally with background experience in Defence or security-sensitive projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and maintain secure cloud environments.
- Implement container orchestration solutions using Kubernetes.
- Support the deployment pipeline leveraging GitLab CI/CD and Terraform.
- Utilize various tools including Docker, Helm, and ArgoCD for automation and configuration management.
- Monitor and optimize platform performance with Grafana and Prometheus.
- Ensure all processes adhere to security and compliance standards for Defence projects.
- Create and improve infrastructure as code practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and platform engineering.
- Proficiency in AWS, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with tools such as Helm, ArgoCD, JFrog, and Packer.
- Hands-on experience with Python and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Current SC clearance is required.
- Experience in Defence, Government, or security-focused projects is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment practices is preferred.
