Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a secure, cloud-native programme on a contract basis until June 2027. This primarily remote role involves collaborating with a technical team to maintain cloud infrastructure, optimize deployment pipelines, and uphold best practices in platform engineering and DevOps. The position requires attending a monthly meeting in Romsey and is suited for candidates with active SC or DV clearance.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure within AWS.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Administer and automate Kubernetes platforms.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Packer.
- Drive GitOps practices with ArgoCD.
- Monitor performance and observability with Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
- Continuously improve engineering standards and release processes.
Requirements
- Active SC or DV clearance required.
- Based in the UK with the ability to attend monthly onsite meetings in Romsey.
- Proven experience in complex DevOps and cloud engineering environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with a modern DevOps toolchain including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and JFrog Artifactory.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Packer.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
