Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer specializing in Azure technologies to take ownership of a production Azure platform, focusing on infrastructure, networking, security, automation, and deployment pipelines. The successful candidate will work in an automated environment, shaping how the platform is built and operated while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. This role presents an exciting opportunity to build and manage secure, resilient Azure infrastructure in a contract capacity until the end of 2026, with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate secure, resilient Azure infrastructure with AKS at its core.
- Develop reusable Bicep modules to manage infrastructure as code.
- Create automated build, test, and release pipelines using GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.
- Manage environment promotion through Dev, Test, UAT, and Production, including infrastructure deployment and drift management.
- Implement networking solutions, private connectivity, identity, access controls, and secrets management.
- Deliver multi-node, multi-zone deployments to ensure high availability.
- Establish monitoring and application insights for reliable production operations.
Requirements
- Expert-level experience in Bicep, including developing reusable infrastructure modules.
- Strong knowledge of Azure and Kubernetes/AKS.
- Proven experience with CI/CD automation, particularly using GitHub Actions.
- Solid understanding of Azure networking, including VNets, peering, Private Endpoints, DNS, Load Balancers, and Application Gateway.
- Experience in cloud security covering Azure Policy, RBAC, Managed Identities, Entra ID, and Key Vault.
- Proven ability to design systems for high availability and support production environments.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and technologies such as Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Service Bus, Storage Accounts, and Azure Monitor.
