Overview
We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer / DevSecOps Security Specialist to lead secure and scalable software development initiatives within a hybrid working environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in software engineering, application security, and modern AI-enabled development practices, working closely with engineering and security teams to enhance delivery processes. This role offers the chance to influence best practices and drive impactful changes in software development processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver secure, scalable software solutions.
- Drive secure development practices and adoption of the secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).
- Contribute to application security, threat modeling, and risk mitigation efforts.
- Support the design and optimization of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Ensure secure building, testing, releasing, and monitoring of applications in production.
- Improve platform resilience, observability, and operational performance.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance overall engineering delivery.
- Provide technical leadership across software engineering and security teams.
Requirements
- Strong background in software engineering with experience in .NET, Java, Python, Go, Unix/Linux, or similar technologies.
- Proven ability to build and deliver cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of secure software development and coding practices.
- Experience in cyber security, malware, application security, or secure SDLC environments.
- Strong expertise in DevSecOps, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and production operations.
- Familiarity with designing, securing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting applications in live environments.
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent.
- Desirable experience in threat modeling, application security testing, and vulnerability management.
