Digital Project Planner

Overview

As a Digital Project Planner, you will play a critical role in modernising project delivery processes for clients across various sectors including infrastructure, construction, and defence. Working in a hybrid environment, you will leverage your planning expertise and digital capabilities to develop, analyse, and enhance project programmes, while also identifying opportunities for automation and improved workflows. This position is designed for individuals who are proactive and innovative, seeking to redefine traditional project management approaches through digital transformation and AI integration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and analyse robust, logic-linked project programmes.
  • Establish planning structures, coding, calendars, logic and progress methodologies.
  • Manage baselines, progress updates, critical paths, float, constraints and schedule forecasts.
  • Undertake schedule assurance, delay, risk and scenario analysis.
  • Produce management information, including clear look-aheads and programme narratives.
  • Identify emerging delays, risks, opportunities and areas requiring intervention.
  • Support the development of workflows, automations and reporting solutions.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Strong project planning experience within complex delivery environments.
  • Understanding of critical path analysis, schedule logic, and progress measurement.
  • Experience with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts and their programme requirements.
  • Ability to analyse complex project information and extract delivery insights.
  • Proficiency in modern digital tools and AI applications for project improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Relevant industry qualifications or professional memberships.
