Overview
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a specialist engineering team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, offering a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves working on technically challenging single point mooring (SPM) projects that support FPSO and FSO facilities within the oil and gas sector. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality electrical engineering documentation, support vendors, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Ex equipment datasheets.
- Develop and maintain electrical load lists.
- Perform cable sizing and voltage drop calculations.
- Prepare and review specifications for electrical equipment and LV switchboards.
- Review vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Liaise with equipment vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical support and interface with site teams when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical engineering, preferably in oil & gas or petrochemical sectors.
- Strong knowledge of IEC 60079 standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience in technical documentation.
- Good understanding of industrial communication networks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in instrumentation engineering, LV switchboard packages, or offshore projects is a plus.
