Overview
The Finance Lead will spearhead the finance design aspect of a major ERP transformation program for a global travel client. Collaborating closely with the Finance Director and senior stakeholders, this role aims to establish a unified operating model and cloud-based ERP platform across multiple countries. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial control and transformation, alongside the ability to manage stakeholders effectively and communicate fluently in French.
Responsibilities
- Lead finance process and target operating-model design.
- Own the design of the chart of accounts, legal entities, intercompany accounting, consolidation, and financial close.
- Define finance controls, statutory requirements, and compliance frameworks.
- Validate finance baselines and business case assumptions.
- Represent Finance in fit-to-standard workshops and challenge unnecessary process customization.
- Support data migration planning and the implementation partner tender.
- Identify opportunities for finance automation and straight-through processing.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- 12+ years’ finance experience, including financial control or transformation in multi-entity groups.
- Proven experience leading an ERP selection or implementation from design through to go-live.
- Strong expertise in chart-of-accounts design, consolidation, multi-currency accounting, and financial controls.
- Knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 18, and UK or Belgian GAAP.
- Experience working client-side alongside consulting firms on finance transformation.
- Fluent English and business-level French or above.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge consultants and systems integrators.
