Overview
We are seeking a contract Forward Deployed Engineer to spearhead the initial stages of a new client engagement. In this hands-on role, you will be the first engineer to interact with the client, helping them explore technical possibilities and develop a proof of concept that a future delivery team can build upon. This opportunity involves significant direct client interaction, offering a chance to use various tools creatively and autonomously.
Responsibilities
- Lead the initial client engagement and define technical possibilities.
- Develop proof of concepts to validate design for scalability.
- Architect solutions and make informed technology choices.
- Set quality standards, including testing and code review processes.
- Define workflows and tooling for effective AI integration.
- Educate client engineers through knowledge transfer and documentation.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience building production software with AI agents.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript or Python with frameworks like NestJS or FastAPI.
- Experience in client-facing roles with effective presentation skills.
- Ability to distill and solve loosely defined problems effectively.
- Strong written communication skills for documentation and architectural decision records.
- Background in consulting or professional services related to software deployment.
- Practical experience in creating architectures scaled for POC, pilot, or production environments.
