Overview
We are seeking a contract Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the initiation of a new client engagement. The role involves direct client collaboration to explore and define solutions, resulting in proof of concepts that can be scaled by a delivery team. This position requires hands-on technical skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and develop solution architectures.
- Build and validate proofs of concept to demonstrate design feasibility.
- Define engineering processes and tooling for effective implementation of AI coding agents.
- Establish quality standards for testing and code review practices.
- Conduct knowledge transfer through collaborative coding sessions and documentation.
- Produce architectural decision records to guide future development work.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience using AI agents in production software development.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or Python, with experience in frameworks such as NestJS or FastAPI.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in consulting or professional services with a focus on client interaction.
- Strong track record of executing POCs, pilots, and understanding production architecture.
- Clear documentation skills, particularly in producing architectural decision records (ADRs).
