Overview
We are seeking three experienced GCP Cloud Engineers with strong Data Engineering expertise to join a high-profile public sector data transformation programme on a fully remote basis. The successful contractors will contribute significantly to enhancing existing services, improving data quality, and supporting the migration of critical datasets within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This position offers the opportunity to work within an established team on large-scale cloud and data platform initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Migrate services, applications, and datasets into appropriate GCP environments.
- Support data platform enhancement and optimisation initiatives.
- Improve data quality through validation, automation, and coding solutions.
- Develop data export capabilities to ensure compatibility with current and future platforms.
- Enhance and extend existing cloud services rather than building greenfield solutions.
- Support future cloud and platform migration activities.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Extensive experience with BigQuery.
- Data engineering, migration, and integration expertise.
- Experience with cloud engineering and DevOps practices within GCP.
- Ability to design, build, and optimise cloud-native data solutions.
- Highly desirable experience includes Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.
- Experience in infrastructure automation and deployment within GCP.
- Experience delivering projects within government, regulated organisations, or the public sector environment.
