Overview
We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Architect specializing in ClaimCenter for a freelance, remote engagement within the UK. The successful candidate will lead solution architecture for a major insurance transformation program, working closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and delivery quality. This role demands extensive knowledge of Guidewire architecture, integration strategies, and the ability to produce detailed designs and governance documentation.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the end-to-end architecture for Guidewire ClaimCenter and related integrations.
- Produce High-Level Designs (HLD), solution blueprints, and API/interface specifications.
- Lead platform and integration architecture across ClaimCenter modules, including FNOL and workflows.
- Provide architectural governance to align solutions with programme standards and business objectives.
- Review functional and technical designs from development teams, ensuring best practices.
- Collaborate with business, technical, and security teams on project requirements.
- Guide developers on ClaimCenter configuration, integration, and customization approaches.
- Oversee integration architecture using REST/SOAP, ESB, and microservices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Guidewire experience with multiple ClaimCenter implementations.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Lead Architect in Guidewire projects.
- Deep understanding of Guidewire architectural patterns and ClaimCenter data models.
- Proficient in Gosu, Java, and REST/SOAP web services.
- Experience leading large multi-vendor delivery teams and strong documentation capabilities.
- Understanding of UK General Insurance operations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe delivery environments.
- Desirable experience with Guidewire Cloud and CI/CD toolchains.
